I know this is wrong...

But now I feel like getting married so I can have a dress like this and a photo album like that.

stolen from here. To visit the photographer's site, click here.

How cute is that wedding dress with all that colors and poofiness peeking out!!! Judging by the photos, the couple seems like they really know what they were doing. The bride obviously is tres chic — that hair, those shoes and THAT DRESS! ARGH! okay, the guy is a pretty fly too.

Most importantly, the photographer did a great job highlighting all of the goodness of such an important day. My bro's wedding is coming up. I hope all will be smooth-sailing so that I get to enjoy the presence of almost all my family + friends and good food in 1 very very expanded hotel ballroom!

From the Late Show with David Letterman.

Although the Official Earth Week is over. We should keep up the spirit and stop abusing this planet we live on everyday. I subscribe to the weekly e-newsletter and thought I should share.

Top Ten Earth Day Pickup Lines

10. "Would you like to hug my tree?"

9. "Wanna swap airborne particulates?"

8. "When I'm near you, sea levels aren't the only thing rising"

7. "Let's get sweaty like Al Gore"

6. "You know what they say about the size of a man's carbon footprint"

5. "Your eyes are as blue as the ocean used to be before Bush relaxed dumping regulations'

4. "Looking at you gives me a renewable energy source in my pants"

3. "Did you know I recorded the 1953 Christmas hit 'Santa Baby'?" (sorry, that's an Eartha Kitt pickup line)

2. "How'd you like to capture some of my emissions?"

1. "Here's an inconvenient truth -- you have a nice ass"

save me!

It's Earth Day. Please go hug a tree, turn off a light, cycle to work, half-flush the toilet, turn off the air-con, stop singing (sound pollution), recycle that egg carton and etc.

Take care of what you're living on. Or it will be gone soon.

Tony Tony!

OMG.

I just went to one of the best concert in mah life. He made me tear TWICE. First, when he sang "I left my heart in San Francisco" and then the last song.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Tony Bennett.

LV vs SFO vs NYC

So the 4 of us gathered again, after so long, in my city to resume our monkey business.

David Burke's egg-fetish-y restaurant + lounge at the Venetian.
Ultra relaxation by the artificial waterfall at Parasol Down (my fav place on the strip)
Gangstas at Red Rock Canyon
Fooling around in front of Siegfred + Roy outside the Mirage.

Thanks for coming over guys! It's been too long.

Sayaka, Yoshi + James are the crucial people who I hang out with during my SF days. I've known S practically since SF day 1 (okay, maybe its Day 3 but whatevar).

I think when you meet good people from different parts of the world like that, it takes a tiny bit more effort to maintain the friendship and embrace the differences between. And that's the beauty of it. When you're truly sincere and concern and tight likethis, you don't need to be in each other's face every other day. You don't need a phonecall or email every week. Because when that phone rings, you pick up and straight away you resume into that comfortable warmth feeling, knowing that the person on the other line is someone you can laugh + cry, trust + bitch to.

Not forgetting the ones that I left behind, the ones who've been standing by me for.like.ever. How the days + months + years flew by during my absence and still are my bitchest 38-est bestest girlfriends I can ever ask for.

champagne?

I had a beer for lunch which made me red all over for the following hours at work. Why did I have a beer? Because it's Friday and a very nice girl whom I've just befriended at work is leaving the agency to do some backpacking in Central America. Darn. Just when we're getting chummy. That beer made me thirsty for more during the afternoon and my colleagues were laughing at me. Then more bad news followed. About 5 people were canned as we lost a major client and Recession is peeking in. I immediately lost my thirst for beers (I thought it should've been the opposite), declined to join the after-layoffs drinking fest so I can go home to be alone.

No. No worries. I think my position is pretty secure.

But yes, retrenchment sucks even though it's not me.

Stuffing my face.

I was just calculating the number of times I've been to a Buffet dinner since I moved here.

And it's E.I.G.H.T. freaking times.

And I've lived here only 6 months. Which means I go to a Buffet dinner every month, and a little more.

The more I go for such dinners, the more pointless I feel. I have lost that lovelygreedy feeling...

Le Sigh...

Just a fun fact for you my dears. But of course, when you visit me, I'll still be morally obliged to go with you.

hippie tea love

Apparently I bought some hippie brand of tea when comes with an inspiration sentence with every tea bag.

It's a little too optimistic. Bugs the shit out of me.

Argh. Whatever.

Will I ever?

It's hard for me to buy this print. For I love it too much. But no, I haven't found a person to share it with. Since I don't, I rather not own it than to have it rolled up in a cardboard tube in a corner of my apt. Though it is finally back in stock. but I think this art-collecting habit of mine is nearing complusion. And compulsion leads to extreme. Extreme leads to, essentially, hoarding. Hoarding leads to a life of Garang Guni, and I dunch want.

BTW...

Happie Birthday 38! Muaks.

Missy goes for a make-over.

cheese!

Technically, I went for a hair cut+color, but since I was there, I went back to the same Stila girl to exchange a previous purchase. So she can't help but touch up my make-up a bit. (their lip glazes are sooo amazing btw.)

Just a bit lah.

The stylist whipped out her electric curler, to my surprise, and say: Let's do it! Although I love the curls, I thought she jap-kawaii-fied me too much. I had a big shock when I finally saw my reflection. And now I miss them. I need a curler right now. Then I will have to wake up 15 mins earlier every day to fix my new image.

It's so fun yet tiring to be a girl.

So y'all likey?

_______ & taxes

I JUST DID MY FREAKING TAXES!

I don't understand how this country can be so great when everyone has to prepare their own taxes so painfully every year!? Shouldn't it be so smart now that the companies you work for should handle it for you? FREAK. Wasted about 3 hours of my life. I thought my paperworks are very well organized but I proved myself wrong, again. First I couldn't find my freelance invoices, then I couldn't find my car receipts and registration papers. Then I found some weird condomsstuff. Then I found my invoices. Then I found my car papers after going to the car twice. But then my car papers didn't really affect my returns at all. THEN WHY BOTHER ASKING ME TO INPUT IT THINKING I WILL GET SOME SALES TAX BACK!!!!! RRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR!

Yawn

But I'm getting some money back anyways (which just nicely will pay for some bills) and am glad that this state I live in sucks no income tax at all! This is the only thing good about leaving California~

BTW, I declare that everyone is going to get LATE bird day presents/cards from me, especially if yours fall between March to June. Too busy for anyone now, not even myself.

Okay, I need to sleep.

handmade tissue cases

I am now using my pre-drafted posts to entertain you guys. And this is one of them.

I said I will hand make gifts this year. It's a really difficult resolution to follow, but I say I'll try mah best and I will. The following is a little thing that I learnt to do and I think it's a pretty cute gift I can make for all my ladies!

Personalized Felt Tissue Case

The finished look.
Cut a piece of felt into 6.25" x 4.75" and fold inwards. Pin down.
Sew the top and bottom together. It's so small hand-sewing is easy.
For an extra touch, cut out tiny hearts and sew them on with the recipients' initials.
Ta-Dah!

Happy B-day Princess Meina!
